Nicki Minaj thrills in Angola performance despite protests from critics and right groups
She did not care that critics and human rights groups had asked
her to cancel her performance in Angola on an invite extended to her by
the president.
Stepping on stage Saturday night, international pop star Nicki
Minaj thrilled thousands of her fans giving no attention to her haters
who had lobbied to block the visit.
According to TMZ, Minaj was under heavy fire for performing at the
event - hosted by a firm that’s partially owned by Angolan President
Eduardo dos Santos - a man who’s been labeled a harsh dictator by many.
However, Minaj wasn’t too worried about the controversy as she
performed some of her biggest hits. Nicki isn’t the first one to receive
harsh criticism for performing for dos Santos.
